Christmas Fun - Part 5 of ? - Christmas Morning

They must have been pretty good

Looks like Santa made it...cookies and milk are all gone.

And it looks like he even left a little something behind.
This stop must have lightened his load
Shea got a trampoline.  The last trampoline she and Zach had got blown away in the tornado 6 years ago so it was time for a replacement.
Opening presents...
Ginger wants to help open presents
An MP3 player!!!

Ginger got a fox and a raccoon.  Neither have stuffing so I don't have to clean up after her now.
She drug them in the middle of all the fun,
 What's in there Shea?
It's that chandelier you have been wanting!!!
Zach had to hold it up so she could see it.
Is that something you've been wanting, Zach?
If it has Saints written on it, he's happy.
A Saints clock that looks like a scoreboard.
I think this is Grant's GPS.  I got him a hand-held so he can start his goecaching.
Just when we thought all the presents were opened, I happened upon one more for Zach.
Box #1 - inside are gift card and another wrapped box.
Box #2 - inside are more gift cards and another wrapped box.
Box #3 - inside is a Saints decal and a letter.
This is the letter Zach found in the third box.  For those of you that don't know, Zach has a red Chevy S-10 he calls Lil Red.
I would love to take credit for the letter, but can't.  A friend of mine, Vicki Temple, wrote it.  Just gave her a few details about Lil Red and this is what she came up with.  Thanks, Vicki!!

Finally, the last box...what's in box???
He looks really surprised...what is it, what is it?
Keys to a new truck!!!!! - a Black Chevrolet Silverado
All he could say was, "Really?", "Seriously?", "Are you kidding me?", "Really?"...you get the idea.
This was one happy and surprised guy
Shea got the new boots she wanted, although they weren't zebra stripped.  Have you ever looked for zebra stripped boots for a nine year old?  Santa found zebra stripped rain boots but not snow boots.
I think we all had a great Christmas, I know I did.  I love watching the kids open gifts and find something they really wanted!!  I got a new camera and I love it, I just have to figure out all the settings now.

And of course, the greatest gift we have ever or will ever receive...Happy Birthday Jesus!!

Christmas Fun - Part 4 of ? - Christmas Eve 2010

As usual, we go to Mamaw Ruth and Papaw's house on Christmas Eve.  After we ate dinner, these two decided it was time to open some gifts.

Shea and Kaleigh are looking all innocent.
Kaleigh found one with her name on it.
Shea is ready to open her present.
Suzanne and Braedon
Braedon was playing Santa and passing out presents.
Grant, me, Papaw, Mamaw Ruth, Suzanne and Jimmy.  What a blessing!!
I could not have hand-picked better in-laws!!

Mark, Jennifer, Thomas, Braedon,Zach, Lizzy, Shea, Kaleigh, Christin, Gemi, Jay, and Sydney

All the grandkids
You know that moment when the little one decides picture taking is over?  This is that moment.
Gemi has had enough of those pictures.

Time to open presents.
Papaw and Mamaw

Jen-Jen is helping Gemi.

Gemi got a little purse from Uncle G.

I have to snap a picture of Braedon every chance I get.

Somebody got engaged...Jay and Lizzy.  Hard to believe Jay is old enough to get married.  He was only 6 months old when Grant and I got married, now look how grown up he is and how handsome.  Lizzy is as sweet as she is pretty.  We are very blessed to have her join our family.

Congratulation Jay and Lizzy
Suzy bought all the girls the cute PJs.
Sydney, Shea, Kaleigh, Suzy, and Gemi
Gemi decided she wanted NaNe to hold her.  She looks like a little doll, so pretty!!
The three big girls didn't have any problem posing for the camera.
Kaleigh, Sydney, and Shea

Silly Girls!
Time to sleep
As you may have noticed, I have the pictures out of order.  Now I'm not gonna blame blogger, BUT, they changed the format and I haven't figured out how to move the pictures one at a time like the old format.  I actually did get some of them moved but have no idea how I did it.  Anyway...blah, blah, blah...on with the pictures.

Mamaw and Papaw with all the grandkids.
Jen, Kaleigh, and Mark
Last but not least, my beautiful family.
Zach, Grant, me, and Shea
If anyone has any tips on navigating through this new format, I'm listening.

Christmas Fun - Part 3 of ?

Oh mercy, they picked me to be in charge of the Christmas party at school. Luckily I had some good help, Tiffany and Renee, and they both knew what they were doing so I guess it turned out ok.

Ms. Holloway is Shea's teacher and Shea absolutely LOVES her. She is such a sweetheart and she loves those kids. We feel very blessed that Shea got her for a teacher this year. This is Shea and Ms. Holloway's first year at Claiborne Academy. Trying to get pictures with a classroom full of children is sometimes challenging. Tyler and Hannah, I am assuming, wanted to be in the picture too. hahaha
Finally got a good one of Shea and Sydney Elizabeth.
Time for the food. I was amazed at how quick a bunch of 3rd graders can wipe out a table full of food. Ms. Renee had a candy relay race for them. They divided up in two groups to see who could get the most candy in the bucket, but they had to carry the candy on a little plastic spoon.
Looks like Hannah is ahead of Shea. Careful Trevor, you're gonna drop your candy... Shea got a head start on Mia. It's kind of hard to get them back inside but we got everyone (well, almost everyone) in their chairs to start working on the gingerbread ornaments Ms. Tiffany brought for them to make. Shea was trying to decide how to decorate hers. Lindsay and Mia posing so cutely for a picture. (is cutely a word?) Sutton and Trevor working on their ornaments. Gingerbread ornaments for the tree. I think the kids all had a good time and it was a lot of fun for me to get to hang out with all her classmates for a couple of hours. After the party Shea said, "Mom, the party was awesome" and that's exactly the response I was hoping for. Thanks to Tiffany and Renee for helping.
