Today was the first day of school for the kiddos. Zach is a senior and Shea is in second grade. I think they were both ready to go back.

Zach , of course, was ready to start his final year in high school. (snif, snif) Here, he is ready to take off. For some reason he didn't want me to drive him to school and he wanted to get there early. I hope he sharpens up those math skills, advanced math and physics this year. Oh my goodness.

Shea was ready to go back to see her friends. I took her to school this morning and on the way she told me she was really excited about going to school. Then she informed me it was only because she was going to see her friends and that Monday she would not be excited anymore. When we got to school she found out Ms. Davis had moved to second grade and she would be her teacher. She was so happy about that.

And here's our little guy on his first day of his first year going to K-4 on Aug, 26, 1996.
It's really hard to believe 13 years have past. They go by so quickly. Melissa was commenting the other day about her boys growing up and asked what happened to all those years, my Aunt Faye answered "we blinked". That is exactly what happened.-
